Looking great

Employment Opportunity: P/T Volunteer Team Lead

If you are a positive, upbeat, and encouraging individual, our Part-Time Volunteer Team Lead Position might be a great fit for you.
This is your chance to empower individuals who have committed themselves to improving the lives of children and families in crisis, by guiding them through tasks and creating even greater efficiency in operations.

The Volunteer Team Lead will work with five to eight individuals per shift on average. The majority of our volunteers come in on the same day(s) of each week and have been with us for years. This means the Volunteer Team Lead will primarily work with the same people each week, except when corporate groups commit their time to the organization.

Hours: On-site hours are Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 8 am-1 pm. Most additional hours are flexible and can be completed from home.

Holiday On-Site Hours: Mid-November- December 23rd, hours generally change to 8 am-3 pm on the same days. Five 5 pm-9 pm shifts per year are also required.

Applicants must possess the following:
- A non-judgmental, positive, outgoing, and enthusiastic attitude
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- The ability to retain and lead multi-step processes
- A valid NYS Driver’s License and a clean driving record
- The ability to lift and carry +30 lbs. repeatedly
- The ability to pass a criminal background investigation with flying colors.
- Knowledge of the illogical order of American clothing sizes
- A sense of humor

Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining a joyful, warm, friendly, guest-centered atmosphere
- Developing action plans and team goals for each shift.
- Periodic pick-up and delivery of donations.
- Other assigned tasks

To apply, please send your resume and a one-page letter of interest to [email protected]. If you do not submit a resume and a one-page letter of interest, our friendly dinosaurs will gobble up your application before it reaches us. In all seriousness, this is a detail-oriented position. We are unable to consider applicants who do not submit the required information. For the love of all that is good in the world, please do not send us a private message asking us how to apply, or submit bedroom selfies with your application. The bedroom selfies are freaking out of administrative team members.

Rate of pay: $18 p/h

Average anticipated number of hours per week: 20

Please note: This is a very active position. It is not a desk job.

An old school, well written ad with specific professional requirements. Well done! I truly hope you find the special person for this important job!

Maybe someday when my little guy is in school 🥲 this would be the perfect job!

Interested..

Very interested but might be moving soon but very interested lol

Are the hours of 8-1 firm? Or could it be worked to be, say, 9-2?

I am very interested in doing anything remotely. I don’t drive because I have MS. I have firsthand experience and have business qualifications. I am interested in part time work.

If you ever need someone on-call, etc., for administrative assistance, please let me know if you’d like me to submit an application for your consideration. I’m very experienced in working with non-profits and office administration and would be happy to help TOMVO in any way that I can.
