When a child escapes abuse within their home, they need support to weather the crisis, heal, and move forward. Things of My Very Own, Inc. is a lifeline for children fleeing abuse. From providing basic necessities to teaching life skills that instill confidence and self-worth, our services lift fragile children from a place of harm to one of hope.

Things of My Very Own, Inc. provides crisis intervention services to children impacted by extensive abuse and/or neglect.

Services are also available to children who are, solely due to the lack of items necessary for sustainability, at risk of a Child Protective Services intervention.

Our goal is to keep children together with non-abusive family members, and out of the foster care system, whenever possible.

Congratulations to Rayn Boncie, our founder and CEO, on being named a 2024 Women of Distinction by Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh.

Rayn stated, “It is an honor to be named as a 2024 Women of Distinction and to stand beside so many changemakers in our community. This was an emotionally impactful award to receive, as the nomination came from Sharon, one of our forever team members.”

A forever team member is someone whose contributions through the organization have significantly impacted our community and the organization as a whole. It means they have an entire team forever celebrating their successes. It also means that our current team stands by them during challenges that may occur long after they have left or retired.

🍨 Regular Schedule: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 8 am to 1 pm.
🍨 Holiday Schedule (Mid-November through December): Extended hours until 3 pm to accommodate our festive season rush!
